We are currently looking for a Laboratory Assistant Administrator to join our team! The qualified individual maintain and manage all aspects of our AKB Massachusetts Training Center (AKB-MTC) training, demonstration and application laboratory, in fulfillment of company sales and technical objectives. They will implement action items related to customer and account manager activities, MTC and field events, and company functions.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Involvement in installation and startup of all lab assets (equipment, liquid handling, etc), and ensuring alignment with VP Science and Technology.
  • Establishing and regulating all SOPs regarding laboratory operation, safety etc.
  • Conducting and reporting on application work on AKBA products, as directed.
  • Conducting and reporting on customer POC's, evaluation and trainings and AKBA employee laboratory trainings, as directed. Maintaining and shipping POC kits.
  • Welcoming visitors and answering main phone line with courtesy and professionalism.
  • Employing appropriate judgment to properly route customer inquiries.
  • Notifying co-workers of visitor arrival and ensuring visitor logs are accurately maintained.
  • Hosting visitors to our facility (scheduling meeting rooms, managing hotel reservations, reserving ground transportation, ordering meals for guests.

  • Education: BS/BA required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years in a lab management or facilities management role preferred. (Biotechnology company preferred.)
  • Experience: Familiarity/training on quality and safety objectives and certifications.
  • Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and statistical analysis package.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills.
