WEX INC LOCATED IN PORTLAND, MAINE IS SEEKING A TOP-NOTCH CREATIVE INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN THEIR FLEET DATA TEAM IN STRATEGIZING AND PLANNING A ROADMAP FOR CONTINUOUS GROWTH.

AS A PRODUCT MANAGER, YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

DEVELOP AND COMMUNICATE THE FLEET DATA VISION AND ROADMAP: Work with leadership to define the vision of Fleet Data and translate into a strategic product roadmap that continuously aims to transform our data offerings, optimize our customers value from data and make our processes more efficient. Feed features and requests into the development process for each cycle.

LEAD THE MANAGEMENT AND GROWTH OF A SUITE OF DATA PRODUCTS AND EXPERIENCES:

*

LEAD PRODUCT DEFINITION, RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT TO MEET THE NEEDS OF WEX CUSTOMERS AND DRIVE REVENUE.
*

DEVELOP DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF CURRENT AND POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS, AND DESIGN FEATURES AND ENHANCEMENTS THAT ANTICIPATE AND MEET THEIR NEEDS.
*

WORK CLOSELY WITH TECHNOLOGY, MARKETING, AND SALES LEADERSHIP TO BRING PRODUCT(S) TO LIFE AND IMPROVE EXISTING PRODUCT CAPABILITIES
*

MANAGE AND OVERSEE PRODUCT ROADMAP(S), AND CONTRIBUTE TO THE PORTFOLIO ROADMAP AND BROADER PRODUCT PRIORITIZATION.

*

AUDIT AND EVALUATE EXISTING DATA PRODUCTS AND PROCESSES: Work across the Fleet organization to audit and understand existing data products, customer offerings and touchpoints.
*

UNDERSTAND CUSTOMER NEEDS AND VALIDATE SOLUTIONS: Be the internal voice of the customer and work with customers, internal stakeholders (as well as Product Owners) to constantly understand and communicate their needs and participate in the validation of the proposed solutions.
*

MANAGE BUSINESS NEEDS AND REQUESTS: Coordinate and lead a Fleet business intake process to capture stakeholder requests and priorities for data-related work.
*

MANAGE AND PRIORITIZE THE FLOW OF WORK: Manage the flow of work into the prioritization process and PI backlog. Ensure that there are enough features ready in the backlog at all times.
*

PARTICIPATE IN PI PLANNING: Play a leadership role in the planning session by presenting the vision, which highlights the proposed features of the solution, along with any relevant upcoming Milestones.
*

DEFINE RELEASES AND PROGRAM INCREMENTS: Largely responsible for release definition, including new features, architecture, and allocations for technical debt.
*

BUILD AN EFFECTIVE PRODUCT MANAGEMENT/PRODUCT OWNER TEAM: Manage an effective Product Owner team overseeing and driving each dev team s specific backlog.
*

EVANGELIZE THE PRODUCT:

*

REPRESENT THE VISION AND ROADMAP TO EXTERNAL AND INTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS.
*

BUILD OR FACILITATE TRAINING AND COMMUNITY-BUILDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR CUSTOMERS TO GET THE MOST VALUE OUT OF THE PRODUCTS.

WORK ACROSS BUSINESS DISCIPLINES TO CREATE SHARED UNDERSTANDING AND COORDINATED PLANS:

COORDINATE WITH SALES AND CLIENTS TO CONSOLIDATE AND SYNTHESIZE FEEDBACK INTO USEFUL INFORMATION FOR PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

WORK WITH MARKETING AND SALES TO COMMUNICATE PRODUCT BENEFITS AND FUNCTIONALITY.

PARTICIPATE IN MARKET POSITIONING AND DEVELOPMENT OF PRODUCT LAUNCH CAMPAIGNS, ETC.

WORK WITH IT TO CREATE A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF GOALS AND PROMOTE THE CREATION OF SHARED COMPONENTS AND SERVICES

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*

DEGREE IN TECHNOLOGY, DATA SCIENCE OR A RELATED FIELD OR 3 OR MORE YEARS OF RELEVANT BUSINESS ANALYSIS AND/OR PRODUCT OWNER EXPERIENCE
*

4-7 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND AGILE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT
*

TECH-STRONG, WITH EXPERIENCE IN DATA-RELATED ROLES
*

DATA-CENTRIC - UNDERSTANDS THE POWER OF DATA AND IS PASSIONATE ABOUT BUILDING PRODUCTS FROM AND AROUND DATA
*

AT THE SAME TIME, ALSO CUSTOMER-CENTRIC - CARES DEEPLY ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND THEIR NEEDS
*
