The Work You'll Do:
The Director of Customer Marketing position here at Sovos is a role that has the potential to be career defining for the right person. This is a newly created position where you’re the driver and you get to steer this role in any direction that makes sense to you. We want someone to bring their great ideas and best practices so that we can create a remarkable experience for our customers. You will develop and drive customer marketing programs, content and tactics that proactively engage customers to make sure they get the maximum value out of our best in class products & services. You will be the expert on our customers internally – telling us how to develop programs to excite customers and ensuring that we continue to build relationships that will create Sovos advocates through engaging marketing campaigns and increased retention rates.
More specifically, you will:
Participate in customer journey mapping and implement marketing tactics and programs to deliver on our desired customer experience. Your mission is to build a community of fanatic brand advocates.
Create and coordinate customer lifecycle nurture programs, trigger-event driven programs, drip campaigns and adoption content, including special marketing content to assist with at-risk customers
Direct customer feedback initiatives, including Net Promoter Score, to drive change throughout the organization
Partner cross-functionally to conduct and synthesize customer research
Develop and maintain customer personas and account profiles to inform customer marketing and communication approach
Partner with marketing & client operations to prioritize and execute on customer communications
Manage advocacy programs and customer reference repository to enable efficient outreach for references & success stories
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and communicate that to the Account Managers
Partner with marketing, strategy and product leaders on customer events, including Advisory Boards
Partner with marketing operations to establish and regularly report on key metrics
Establish customer marketing best practices, program templates and metrics to deploy globally
Build and maintaining strong working relationships with colleagues in sales, client operations, product management and marketing to cultivate cooperation in priorities
What We Need From You:
You have at least seven years of work history in customer marketing as well as some work history in other related marketing disciplines (e.g. field marketing, product marketing, event marketing)
You know how to utilize technology and have some background using a B2B market automation platform
You have an innate ability and the assurance to bring leading practices, creative ideas and new programs to improve engagement with our customers from your past experiences
You have a passion for creating positive, customer-centric experiences
You have expertise working for a high tech company, marketing to multiple industries in the B2B space
You have strong copy writing skills; layout or design are a plus
You interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers
You keep your cool under pressure and love working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you get to use your multi-tasking skills
You enjoy digging into complex problems and concepts – and can concentrate, analyze
You can effectively communicate complex concepts at all levels – including with senior management and technical personnel
You are passionate about being creative – whether it is through your customer programs or communication skills to engage and motivate customer advocates
You balance data and instinct when making decisions – in particular, you leverage tactical and strategic marketing metrics to inform future programs
You love learning new things – about people, products and practices
You very likely have a training in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or something similar. Higher level trainings are an asset.
Due to clients with federal contracts – the successful candidate will have to clear a background check and drug test
