Job Description:

SHORT DESCRIPTION

Provides Administrative and management leadership for the Department s operations
including strategic/business planning, directing and control of activities and operations,
contract negotiations, budgeting, analysis, fiscal and operational duties, capital equipment
purchases, department policies and personnel management on behalf of Respiratory practice and procedures

Reviews, interprets and reports key data and proactively adjusts performance accordingly- Responsible for developing departmental PIIQA program.

Performs complex analysis to develop, recommend, and implement strategies to proactively
address and solve issues and problems.

Collaborates with executive management and other directors within the health system in
order to ensure the department is appropriately represented and all needs are met.

Responsible for managing human resource functions for the department: interviewing, hiring, developmental and educational needs, disciplinary action.

Oversees the day to day operations of the Respiratory Therapy services. Interacts regularly with physicians and staff.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Days / Hours: Sunday - Saturday

Bachelor s Degree required, Master s degree preferred
Graduate of AMA approved Respiratory Care Program
A minimum of 5 years of medical management experience, at least three years of which must have been supervisory with responsibility for all facets of administrative respiratory practice and administrative oversight

Required License/Certifications/ Registration: Current NJ-RESP NJ State Respiratory Care Board License
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
Current BLS required

NRP preferred

Must have valid driver s license and vehicle.

Other Qualifications: Communications with practice wide personnel including conceptualization and design, conflict resolution, counseling, interpretation of policies, knowledge of applicable respiratory and regulatory guidelines, consultation and change management skills, mediation, networking, organization, planning, problem identification and resolution, project management, leadership, coaching and team building skills.

Must know the principles and practices of business/medical administration, management and accounting; must communicate effectively and clearly verbally and in writing.

Must possess the ability to establish goals, structures and processes necessary to implement a mission and strategic vision.

Proficient Microsoft Office skills required.
