The successful candidate for this position will have a strong passion in designing and implementing edge-based solutions for new and/or existing software applications. As a valued contributor to our team your responsibilities will include (1) collaborative brainstorming and problem solving to define requirements, objectives and potential solutions; (2) develop/test software and infrastructure from inception to deployment in the intelligence and defense communities; and (3), testing and maturing software and architectures from new ideas and customer feedback as part of an agile team.

System Engineer Edge Solutions Position Requirements:


  • Active TS/SCI Clearance 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field

  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience OR 11 years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • Security + Certification or other IAT level II certifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge in reviewing and implementing OS system updates and maintaining security posture

  • Team player with excellent communication skills

  • Primary work location National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency-West, limited telecommuting available

  • Experience in reviewing and remediating IAVM and STIG scan findings

  • Experience working with enterprise technologies including load balancing, and identity and access management (Active Directory, LDAP)

  • Networking technologies, e.g. network protocols, firewalls, etc.

  • Experience in enterprise software test development, Software as a Service, distributed systems

System Engineer Edge Solutions Preferences:


  • Experience with implementing security agents, reviewing and remediating Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)

  • Experience with Linux and Windows Operating Systems

  • Experience with Ports, Protocols, Services Management and Firewall Change Requests

  • Experience with load balancing and network technology
