The Product Owner is responsible for full lifecycle product planning and execution for Orion Advisor Technologies. This is inclusive of gathering and prioritizing requirements for the platform, defining the vision for the products therein, and collaborating with other stakeholders from the programming, marketing, sales, and operations departments in order to ensure that the financial and consumer satisfaction goals are met.
This position serves in the capacity of the Product Owner, which oversees and is answerable to the Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Product for all activities of the OAT offering. The Product Owner ensures that the functions of the respective product team are efficiently and effectively executes to meet the needs of Orion.

What does this role entail?

• Attending all sprint team prioritization and/or planning meetings related to respective product development team.


• Create detailed specs from high-level recommendations of Product Manager.


• Work closely with Scrum Master to create user stories and groom project backlog.


• Provide support for escalated development items.


• Assist service with product-related information/background for escalated items.


• Assist in the creation and training of product processes for their respective product development team.


• Provide clarity and weekly updates to stakeholders and executive on app team progress.


• The Product Owner will spend significant time vetting bug/defect tickets related to their respective product development team before those bugs are turned over to programming.


• The Product Owner also works with the Director of Product and Product Manager to create strategic roadmaps based on quantifiable data. This role will be responsible for accuracy of release notes across the product development team(s).

Education and Experience needed:

• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics required


• Minimum of two years' experience working in statistical analysis/investment performance


• Experience working within Financial Services industry preferred


• Obtain Orion Industry Certification within 90 days of employment
