Senior Adobe Engineer (AEM) at Sapient Corporation in Princeton, New Jersey

Job Description:

As a Senior Adobe Engineer, you will be instrumental in estimating, designing, coding, testing, and deploying small to large-sized modules of a Marketing Technology project. You will use one or more Adobe Experience Cloud products to build transformative solutions for our clients.

Your Impact:

Primary Capability: Adobe Experience Manager (Sites, Assets, Forms, Mobile)
- Develop AEM templates and components, following best practices and standards for component reusability and maintainability
- Develop AEM widgets and authoring dialogs and corresponding support classes
- Integrate with at least two (2) other Adobe products including Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, Adobe Audience Manager, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Experience Platform or Magento Commerce
- Develop custom AEM workflows
- Use AEM Style Systems to introduce visual variations to core or custom components
- Leverage powerful AEM features such as Multi-Site Manager (MSM), Content Fragments (CF) and Experience Fragments (XF)
- Integrate with a Translation provider/vendor for a multi-lingual implementation and translation
- Design, Create, Add and Manage Assets Metadata profile and schemas
- Configure Brand Portal
- Perform AEM Administrative tasks including infrastructure setup, performance optimization, security, backup/restore, etc.
General Capability
- Lead internal team requirements and design workshops
- Conduct code reviews and approve pull requests from peers/team members
- Participate in team activities like sprint planning, backlog grooming, demos and retrospectives
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems including defects and platform limitations
- Govern scalability and resilience of modules under your scope of work
- Integrate and apply DevOps tools for unit, functional and performance testing of modules under your scope of work
- Find opportunities to learn new skills, new technology and provide POVs or lunch and learn sessions to teammates

Your Skills & Experience:
- Experience with at least two (2) AEM modules (normally Sites, Assets)
- Experience with at least two (2) medium-large size AEM 6.x project
- Thorough understanding of Agile software development, SCRUM or SAFe
- Experience with one (1) or more Cloud technologies (preferably AWS, Google Cloud or Azure)
- Deep understanding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
- Excellent understanding of design patterns (SOLID principles is preferred)

* For back-end AEM developers
* A solid understanding of fundamentals of Java development principles and frameworks including OSGI, servlets, Spring, etc.
- Deep understanding of and hands-on development experience with relevant 'Java CMS' frameworks including Apache Sling for content-centric application development, JCR and JSR-170 / JSR-283 for Content Management, JSR-168 and JSR-286 for Portal development, and Apache Felix for OSGi bundle development
- For front-end AEM developers:
- Mastery of core web technologies including HTML, CSS, Javascript, Node and templating engines like Sightly, Handlebars, EJS, Jade, etc.
- Experience with Single Page Applications (SPA)
- Experience with advanced Java frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS
