Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Initiate contact with potential clients as well as maintain current relationships while building brand awareness.  Build a robust pipeline and set up meetings with qualified potential clients to sell a variety of offerings available within the organization. Work closely with management, operations, and marketing staff to identify, develop, and ensure profitability of all solutions delivered by the company.  Utilize existing leads as well as develop leads that translate into new business.  Develop relationships with clients which will facilitate the cross sale of existing and future products and services. 

Essential Functions - Listed below are some of the essential functions to carry out this job.


  • Develop and solicit lead generation strategy (online, email, telephone, trade-shows, etc.) that will translate to company sales of Coastal offerings including but not limited to Default Loan Servicing, Coastal Collector Software (CCS) and Coastal Payment Solution (CPS).

  • Identify new business opportunities for the company through initial outreach to potential clients.

  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified potential clients. Build and maintain contact lists of potential clients and target geographical areas.

  • Execute diligent and professional follow-up, while being respectful of the time frame potential clients have discussed in advanced.

  • Work with and assist Coastal management to prepare marketing materials and outreach email content.

  • Respond to email, online and telephone requests from potential clients.

  • Facilitate appointments and lead communication between clients and Coastal management. Schedule meetings with potential clients and prepare presentation materials.

  • Ensure all relevant information (5300, questionnaire, names, positions, other important information) is supplied to the Coastal Team before scheduled meeting with current or potential client.

  • Assist Coastal management on all follow-up questions and/or modifications to any information disclosed in Coastal’s NDA, VDD packages and/or service agreements with potential clients.

  • Ensure confidentiality within all areas of responsibility.

  • Positively promote the company, its services and products in various capacities as may be required including: meetings, conferences, community events, fund raising, public relations or other events as they may occur.

  • Adherence with company policies that could be amended from time to time.

  • Follow all procedures pertaining to the company policies of BSA, USA Patriot Act, and OFAC.  Attend trainings when available and to keep abreast of all information regarding changes and updates.  Report to Management any acts of disregard to these policies.

  • Successfully complete all company required and job specific training.

  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS AND PREFERRED SKILLS


  • Two to five years’ experience in a sales environment generating quality leads.

  • Knowledge of financial services or banking industry or banking technology preferred.

  • Must be able to work remotely and travel as needed.

  • Must be highly dynamic and flexible and able to quickly adapt to a changing environment.

  • Must be able to understand a wide breadth and depth of products in services.

  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Previous lead generation experience.

  • Established relationships with banks or credit unions a plus.

  • Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be organized and detail oriented.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese) a plus.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those the team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Physical Demands Efforts

This function requires moderate standing, walking and sitting. Will be sitting while performing computer data entry functions.  Position does not involve climbing or crawling but may on occasion kneel/squat. Requires lifting and moderate carrying of items up to 25 pounds such as a banker’s box. Ability to operate normal office equipment such as, telephone, copy machine, fax, scanner, and computer.

Work Environment

This position typically works in an office environment.  Noise is moderate and typical of conversations and office equipment.
