Blue Cross Blue Shield is looking for a Wellness Program Manager to manage and drive employee engagement in their best in class employee wellness program. The Wellness Program Manager will help design and promote wellbeing programs and promotion and engagement strategies at Blue Cross furthering the culture of well-being within the organization. The Manager will incorporate innovative approaches to support employees emotional, physical, social, and financial well-being. The position requires a comprehensive and detailed understanding of a corporate wellness program structure, the ability to collaborate across various functions of the organization as well as a high degree of initiative and independent judgment.

The Wellness Program Manager will be responsible for tracking wellness activities, making recommendations for improvement, working with outsourced vendors to monitor and ensure appropriate support and services levels, and reporting and analyzing metrics for trends. In addition, the Wellness Program Manager will be responsible for and will be the point of contact for all benefits related to employee wellness.

Essential Functions:
- Administers and manages a variety of wellness programs with the goal of enabling employees to do their best while living happy and healthy lives, including our incentive-based program (The Wellness Rewards Program), reimbursement programs, behavioral health programs, wellness center activities and more.
- Develops, makes recommendations and implements programs to support employees in achieving their physical, emotional, financial and social well-being. Program examples include managing on-site biometric screenings, stress management workshops, and health fairs.
- Identifies employee needs and interests by conducting surveys, engages employees through communications and/or meetings, recommends new programs and changes.
- Thinks outside the box and takes a creative approach in promoting and communicating wellness program offerings in meeting employees where they are in their wellness journey.
- Works collaboratively and effectively with internal/external partners, including managing vendor partner relationships to ensure program offerings are being delivered as agreed.
- Partner with internal Sales Executive and Health Engagement Strategist to assess and select new programs and capabilities for the Wellness Program.
- Responds to employee inquiries regarding wellness benefits and responds to tier II escalated, complex inquiries from AskHR requiring comprehensive knowledge of benefits policies and procedures.
- Actively seeks and participates in continuous improvement activities, staying abreast of new offerings, and recent laws and regulatory changes that impact benefit delivery.
- Participates in industry-wide benefit surveys, analyzes results and recommends changes to ensure the maintenance of competitive benefit programs.
- Participates in the completion of submissions for awards and recognition related to Blue Cross' benefits programs.
- Monitors and analyzes experience data (participation, engagement, etc.) to recommend plan changes to management.
- Participates and assists with other benefit programs as needed.

Qualifications/Competencies:
- Knowledge of benefit plans, programs, and practices and their relevant regulations
- Strong customer/employee and vendor relations skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service mindset and commitment to issue resolution
- Excellent project management skills
- Some subject expertise in nutrition, physical activity, stress management or behavior change science would be helpful.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work and think independently, creatively and critically
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Education/Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in wellness-related field with demonstrated progressive responsibility
