Job Description Summary

Responsible for providing business lending expertise to service and underwrite business loans; provides consultative service to members regarding lending options; assesses business lending risk and renders credit decisions. Proficient in business loan underwriting for more complex transactions which exhibit greater credit risk.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs analysis of the businesses financial condition and risk rating, including but not limited to; collateral inspections, detailed business financial statement analysis, cash flow, working capital analysis, performance ratios and market conditions. 


• Analyzes information and appraisals necessary to make credit decisions; negotiates loan terms and conditions; approves and underwrites new and modified loans; approves disbursements; makes recommendations.


• Provides consultative services regarding the Credit Union’s products and services; works with members during loan process to match their lending needs with the Credit Union’s products and services to obtain financing. 


• Researches and recommends departmental operating policies and procedures; recommends enhancements and new products and services. 


• Makes recommendations for and develops relationships with third party vendors, including but not limited to; attorneys, business brokers and SBA.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors Degree in finance, accounting, or related field or four years financial industry experience


• Four years experience in lending with two years experience in Business Loan Underwriting required.
