OPPDs Work Management department is looking for T&D Project Controls Specialist to join their team!
This role provides support to T&D Project Managers to successfully complete large complex Transmission, Substation and Distribution projects within project scope, schedule and cost requirements. The T&D Project Controls Specialist develops and maintains project schedules and coordinates with project management, engineering, construction, and procurement departments to develop and facilitate technical activities and tasks for the project.
Specific accountabilities for the T&D Project Control Specialist include:

• Accountable for project controls support for large complex T&D projects from initiation to close out to ensure that the project meets approved safety, scope, schedule, and cost requirements, applicable regulatory requirements and customer/stakeholder requirements.
  
  
  • Perform project planning and control to include project schedule development, project schedule maintenance, and project progress reporting.
  
  
  • Responsible for project status reporting and communication.
  
  
  
  


• Work collaboratively with team members, issue owners and project sponsors to plan, organize and execute assigned projects.
  
  
  • Coordinates OPPD personnel, customers, consultants and contractors assigned to projects.
  
  
  • Obtain and coordinate necessary schedule commitments from Work Management, T & D Engineering, Construction, Production, Production Engineering, Land Rights, Communications, System Ops, Legal, Customer Operations, Customer Services, and external resources such as customers, other utilities etc. or government agencies.
  
  
  
  


• Prepares and maintains project budget vs. cost and project progress vs. schedule reporting on a periodic basis. Reports any significant changes to T&D Project Mangers.

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent


• Minimum of 3 years in the field of project management support/controls, engineering support/control, procurement, or maintenance support/controls in support of major capital type projects.

• Bachelor's degree (technical or management discipline) or Associate Degree


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project and/or Primavera scheduling tools.


• Financial/Budget experience.
