DESCRIPTION
Junior Research Specialist
The Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery is seeking a Junior Research Specialist. Responsibilities will include wet lab experiments in cancer research, bioinformatics as able, and other duties as assigned. Appointees in the Specialist series will be expected to engage in specialized research, professional activities and do not have formal teaching responsibility. Specialists are expected to use their professional expertise to make scientific and scholarly contributions.
This research position is for individuals who must possess (or in process of obtaining) a bachelor s degree in biological sciences, medical sciences, bioinformatics, or a related field. Applicant s materials must list (pending) qualifications upon submission. Applicants must have obtained the degree requirement for the Specialist rank by the time of hire. The position requires a background exposure to, or experience in, wet and/or dry lab experimentation, with a preference for those with basic science research laboratory experience. The position is focused on cancer research.
