Float Pool RN staff will be assigned to designated units throughout the hospital based upon the daily staffing needs of the facility. The RN will only be floated to areas for which they are qualified and competent.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

* Nursing Diploma or ASN; BSN preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION

* Current Florida RN license required or appropriate compact licensure. If compact license held, active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire.

* Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association required.

* Current American Heart Association ACLS certification preferred (required within 6 months of hire).

QUALIFICATIONS

* Prior Float Pool Pool nursing experience desired.

* Customer service abilities including effective listening skills.

* Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

* Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
