Process Technician at Quanex IG Systems Inc. in cambridge, Ohio

Job Description:

• Properly collect, package and clearly label in detail raw material, production, components and other representative samples to be tested or retained


• Must be trained or able to be trained on all Mixing processes, which include silicone and butyl, both Aarons mixers and Twin Screw.


• Properly operate, maintain and calibrate all equipment according to the instrument manuals and test methods so that test data is accurate and reliable.


• Develop procedures, methods and/or specifications for all activities on all mixers.


• Keep accurate and timely records in an organized and readily retrievable manner.


• Interact with production line personnel to determine process problem areas.


• Test new machines and processes to make sure they perform up to specifications.


• Operate all test equipment in mixing


• Help establish test methods for new materials


• Project management of process and development projects


• Identify equipment that reduces cost and improves productivity, quality, and safety.


• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement.


• Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned. (This applies to all positions)
