Business Analytics Advisor - Fee for Value at Cigna in Bloomfield, Connecticut

Summary

The Business Analytics Advisor position is an opportunity for an analytics professional to provide leadership on complex analytics projects and initiatives. This role will work with an innovative team on setting and executing the vision for how advanced embedded analytics can lead Cigna to achieving our growth goals.

This role will work collaboratively with our Fee-for-Value business stakeholders to provide partnership in analytics, developing analytics solutions, leveraging data science and technologic capabilities and embedding analytics driven processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex data research and analysis to support business operations including: creating data mining architectures/models/protocols, statistical reporting, and data analysis methodologies to identify trends in large data sets
  
  


• Own quality assessment of current reporting suite
  
  


• Provide counsel and advice to top management on significant Business Analytics matters, often requiring coordination between organizations
  
  


• Conduct additional in-depth research with goal of breaking new ground in business data analytics and challenge the status quo
  
  


• Manage the documentation process, documenting stakeholder alignment and analysis ensuring reusability and understanding for others
  
  


• Bridge the gap between data science and stakeholders to ensure broader business understands how analytics affect operations
  
  


• Share knowledge, articles, courses, etc with business stakeholders that fosters broader thought leadership
  
  


• Participation in activities outside of day to day role (committees, volunteering, etc.)
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years' industry experience solving business problems through the application of analytic approaches
  
  


• Advanced ability to use relevant technology/software to wrangle data and perform analytics.
  
  


• Experience with SQL required; SAS preferred
  
  


• Experience blending creativity, relentless problem-solving, and business acumen
  
  


• Experience handling Internal & External communications and presentations including Senior Leadership and Executives
  
  


• Experience in Value Based Care / Fee-for-Value preferred
  
  


• Experience with visualization preferred
