Job Description:

Work Days and Expected Hours:

Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

(Additional hours as necessary to meet the objectives of the department).

Function: Performs a variety of duties of moderate complexity which require a basic understanding of the securities industry and processes routine transactions affecting individual trust accounts.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Maintains the new account templates and verifies maintenance performed by other operations personnel.

  • Posts miscellaneous income transactions to accounts as necessary.

  • Processes savings bond transactions.

  • Processes sweep account and transactions.

  • Generates pending item reports for review by the RMs and Trust Services.

  • Processes income transactions on certain securities and demand note accruals

  • Obtains and data enters manual pricing of certain securities for trust statements

  • Processes certain securities transactions, including trade settlement, maturities, redemptions, splits, calls and mergers.

  • Posts disbursement checks/ACH to include payment of taxes, bills and income to clients.

  • Processes canceled checks, stop payments, and customer wire transfers.

  • Reviews various system reports related to check processing and outstanding checks.

  • Performs daily morning balancing of department and provides Collateral report to Finance

  • Monitor all name/address changes and prepares notification letter to client(s).

  • Reconciles brokerage, safekeeping and mutual fund statements as well as internal suspense accounts.

  • Prepares reports for various committee meetings and performs downloads for batch maintenance as necessary..

  • Back-up for other operations positions within the department.

  • Coordinates the account closing process and tasks within Operations and with RM/RA Teams.

  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees. Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, as well as, motivated to work as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and the organization.

  • Performs others duties as required.

Physical Demands

Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day; operates office equipment: 10% of the day. The primary parts of the body involved in performing the above tasks are the fingers, thumbs, hands, wrists, elbows, and legs. Bending and twisting is required which is slow in speed. Sitting is required 7.5 hours per day in a straight position. Walking required up to 30 minutes per day. Routinely lifts 10 lbs., up to two times per day. Maximum lift is 20-30 lbs., 3-4 times per week. Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing up to 70% of the business day. Specific vision requirements include close vision of 18”-20” for computer work. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

Experience


Required


  • 1 - 2 years: One to two years of banking or finance experience, with one year Trust Operations experience preferred.

Education


Required


  • High School or better in Academic/General or related field
