Harvest Hill Beverage Company, based in Stamford, CT, was formed by Brynwood Partners VII L.P. in June 2014 to acquire the iconic Juicy Juice brand from Nestle USA. Through four subsequent acquisitions, the company has grown to include nearly 900 employees and seven manufacturing facilities.The company markets, produces and sells beverages under the SunnyD, Juicy Juice, Little Hug, Veryfine, Fruit2O, Nutrament and Daily's brand names in North America. We operate in a team based environment with employees able to perform multiple skills and flowing to the work as needed to meet our business needs.

Overview

The Senior Purchasing Manager will be responsible for securing raw materials to include but not limited to: fruit & vegetable concentrates, flavors, emulsions, preservatives and various others at the required time, quality and lowest cost of ownership. They will plan and report cost movements and supply issues in the market. This role will manage all present and future raw material initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Procure juice concentrates, flavors and other raw material inputs across all brands in the portfolio


• Monitor all relevant commodity markets, make procurment recommendations Senior Leadership


• Forecast material prices and track against the market


• Lead all initiatives for fruit/vegetable concentrates, flavors and various other raw materials


• Understand the raw material and fruit/vegetable concentrate needs for all brands, and identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce cost, recommend substitusions, shorten lead times and shrink MOQs.


• Manage and monitor pricing discrepancies


• Seek value added services from suppliers


• Prepare and publish RFI's, RFQ's, RFP's


• Analyze and summarize vendor proposals


• Manage and maintain item pricing in ERP and other systems


• Manage and maintain supplier files, contracts and pricing agreements


• Engage in special projects as directed by the VP Procurement


• Interact with multi-functional teams


• The ideal candidate will have relative work experience managing purchasing for raw materials, possess sound communication skills, have a passion for business, and be able to problem solve by applying analytics.

• Working knowledge of fruit and vegetable concentrate markets


• Working knowledge of various beverage ingredients
