Reporting to the Director of Application Services, the Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist assists with oversight of Informatics related initiatives and service levels. With guiding oversight, the Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist works to develop and enhance methodologies towards the management of the Informatics and assists with implementing key strategic frameworks for the team.

The Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for the management, analysis, testing, training and support for advanced clinical systems (i.e. Surgical Information System, MEDITECH; not limited to CPOE, EMAR, RXM and Clinical Documentation) used by patient care services. The Senior Clinical Informatics Specialist is responsible for providing project management for the installation and support of new applications, upgrades and standards, and providing documentation for all applications.

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* EDUCATION:

BA/BS with clinical background preferred

* EXPERIENCE:
Knowledge of the health care setting and terminology within an electronic medical record environment. Experience with electronic medical record systems (MEDITECH preferred)

* Excellent customer service skills.

* Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.

* Computer skills required.

* Ability to maintain confidential information.
