Technica LLC seeks to fill the position of Bus Driver on a Government contract with a place of performance at Ft. Irwin, CA.
Position Responsibilities:
Drives buses for transportation of passengers per scheduled mission requirements to local or distant points as directed as per submitted request(s).
Assists passengers and military units as required.
Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
Complies with local, state, and federal traffic regulations.
Inspects bus unit per DOT regulations, responsibilities include confirming fuel, oil, and water levels before departing for a scheduled mission.
Loads/Unloads checked passenger baggage into bus cargo storage compartment if required.
Drivers shall abide by all rules and regulations of the Transportation Motor Pool.
Must report schedule delays, vehicle damage, or accidents to TMP management immediately upon occurrence.
Responsible for enforcing the Army Regulation (AR) 58-1 Management, Acquisition, and Use of Motor Vehicles regulation and TMP standards listed in the SOP with passengers at all times.
Responsible for pre-check inspections, record keeping, dispatching, maintaining, utilizing, cleaning, and refueling of the equipment they are utilizing.
Drive other TMP vehicles to include, shuttles, sedans, vans, trucks with or without a trailer and stake-bed and refer units, however not limited to support TMP mission requirements.
Ability to secure a load with straps as needed when picking up parts/items in truck, truck with trailer, stake-bed or as necessary.
All other duties assigned by Supervision.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
Must have 2 years of verifiable excellent driving record
All employees must be able to pass background and random DOT drug screening
All Employees must obtain or have the ability to obtain the following prior to employment and while on company time and or operating any vehicle must be carried on person
Valid Commercial Driver's License with passenger endorsement
Valid Medical Examiner's Card DOT
Military Driver's License
Logistic Readiness Center Contact Number Card
Documents are subject to change for approved military drivers per Army regulation
During dispatching and spot checks, employees will be asked, as part of Quality Control, to show these documents
Refusal to show or not having all 4 documents on the person will result in immediate removal of the person for the operation of the equipment
Must be customer focused
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 21 years of age
