Entrance Monitor at Mercy in Springfield, Missouri

Posted in Other 30+ days ago.

Type: Full Time

Job Description:

Overview:

A Mercy Entrance Monitor can be a patient, visitor, or co-workers first impression of Mercy as they greet them walking into the building. After greeting the incoming person, the screener will articulate a series of questions, take a temperature, and request the patient, visitor or co-worker complete hand hygiene.

Because the screener is often a visitor's or patients first impression of Mercy, they must maintain a customer centric approach and clearly articulate requests.

While the co-worker will follow a written policy, they must independently critically think through a complex visitor exception policy and escalate to leadership as needed.

The Entrance Monitor is also responsible for recording data at the entrances, triaging questions from visitors and patients, and providing directions as needed.

The position is not limited to a specific location. While they will primarily serve at the originally requested location, they may be requested to travel to other Mercy locations as needed.

Qualifications:

*

Licensure: Valid driver's license.

*

Experience: Non-licensed clinical experience preferred.

Other: Proven ability to effectively and professionally interact and communicate with the public.

We Offer Great Benefits:

Day-one comprehensive health, vision and dental coverage, PTO, tuition reimbursement and employer-matched retirement funds are just a few of the great benefits offered to eligible co-workers, including those working 48 hours or more per pay period!

We're bringing to life a healing ministry through compassionate care.

At Mercy, our supportive community will be behind you every step of your day, especially the tough ones. You will have opportunities to pioneer new models of care and transform the health care experience through advanced technology and innovative procedures. We're expanding to help our communities grow. Join us and be a part of it all.

Mercy has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
