Department Description

The Moffitt Long Operating Room (OR) consists of 28 surgical suites. Our primary focus is tertiary/quaternary surgical care using team based staffing. Our complex surgery uses the most advanced technology, including hybrid suites and robotic surgery. Services include but are not limited to: General Surgery, Urology, Transplant, Cardiac, Vascular, Thoracic, OHNS, OMFS, Plastics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Neurosurgery.

Job Summary

APPLICANTS: PLEASE LIST YOUR CARDIOTHORACIC SURGERY EXPERIENCE IN YOUR RESUME

* Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care

* Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required

* Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision

* Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team

Additional Shift Details

Monday through Friday

Required Qualifications

* One year of full time inpatient operating room (OR) clinical RN circulating experience in Cardiothoracic surgery

* Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California

* Active American Heart Association CPR Certification

* Flexibility to orient and work in all UCSF Health locations
