JOB SUMMARY
The VP, Advanced Technology will be a key leader in Spectrum Reach s Data Integration and Development team. This person will help drive the strategy, and lead the design and delivery of Spectrum Reach s Advanced Product data technology. This leader will work at the highest levels of the organization to provide vision, define, develop, and implement such data solutions that align with our broader corporate strategy and ultimately drive a superior Advanced Product for Spectrum Reach clients. This leader will also lead a development organization responsible for building data products for Spectrum Reach. Accountable for setting the vision for and leading, managing, mentoring, and developing the teams responsible for creating an information advantage for the organization with a focus on scalability, time to market, delivery, operations, and customer experience.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Develops analytics technology vision, strategy and roadmap, manages relationships with senior executives and leadership of partner groups.

* Responsible for the strategic planning and development of long term analytical capabilities and technologies. Leads large-scale data studies and data discovery for new data sources or new uses for existing data sources.

* Responsible for the design and implementation of data warehouse and business intelligence architecture solutions across various applications and data sources

* Manage and optimize core data infrastructure in partnership with the broader enterprise data team and business stakeholders

* Manage a large agile development team, while supporting commitments to our long term roadmap

* Act as an authority on topical areas, driving rapid prototype initiatives, and stewarding high potential ideas through the commercialization intake process.

* Lead teams but also have the fluidity to act as an individual contributor and produce substantive deliverables.

* Contribute to ground floor programs but also be afforded the intellectual autonomy to explore new emerging technology areas.

* Assess technology ecosystems, frameworks, and capabilities.

* Develop underlying use cases and the required technology solutions (hardware and software).

* Define well-structured prototype campaigns, including well-formed success metrics.

* Define supporting architectures to scale solutions beyond trial phases.

* Contribute to development of business cases and funding requirements.

* Support intake process and act as a subject matter expert through commercialization process.

* Develop and foster strong relationships with external ecosystems and technology partners.

* Responsible for the function's budgets and approves related capital expenditures.

* Negotiates multi-million dollar contracts with third-party vendors.

* Establishes and maintains strong relations within the larger Corporation.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 10+ years in a Product Engineering role focused on scalable data products with at least 5 years of leadership experience

* A strong track record of leading and inspiring high-performing teams, ideally across multiple geographies is preferred.

* Thorough understanding of big data technologies that can be utilized to handle data ingest, storage, real-time/batch processing, security, auditing, and operations

* Thorough understanding of modern microservice and content management architectures that can be employed to provide amazing customer experience on digital platforms at web scale

* Demonstrated understanding of DevOps principles and track record of transforming organizations to apply them in practice

* Excellent verbal and written communications skills and ability to collaborate across the organization

* Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal

* Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative

* AWS and Google Cloud platform tools

* Data warehousing tools such as Amazon Redshift, Big Query, and Snowflake

* Data Modeling and System Analysis Data Platforms EMR, Data Bricks, Kubernotes

* Data Integration tools such as SQL, Spark, Scala, Python, Data Bricks, Airflow

* Knowledge of the Advanced Media and Data landscape and industry experience is strongly preferred

* BA or BS College Degree or related work experience, Master s Degree or MBA preferred
