Overview

The Global Procurement organization is a global and center-led organization consisting of three key pillars: Center of Excellence (COE), Category Management and Procurement Operations. This organization has been in place for nearly ten years and is nearing the completion of a transformation journey focused on strengthening our overall operating model, implementing a best in class S/4 HANA platform and solidifying our category management business value creation.

The successful candidate is equal parts a visionary, a leader, and an executor who will drive the stabilization of the transformation, nurture a learning culture as well as develop the next generation of creative and agile strategies.

The Director, Center of Excellence role is based at the FMC Tower in Philadelphia and reports to the VP, Procurement and Global Facilities. This position oversees the team responsible for the management, governance and continuous improvements of the Procurement processes, solutions and data such as Source to Contact, Procure to Pay, Data Excellence, Reporting & Analytics and Talent Management.

Responsibilities

This position is accountable for FMC's Global Procurement processes, policies, data and solutions strategies. This organization defines the requirements for use and management of Global Procurement's processes and solutions to ensure fit for purpose, complete, accurate, reliable and available on a timely basis. Provide direction and establish the guiding principles, operating processes, metrics and policies owned by Global Procurement.

This role is also part of the FMC Governance Council and is expected to partner with the Functional Centers of Excellence and Corporate IT to ensure ongoing integrity of processes and solutions impacted by enhancement requests and new projects with extreme bias towards governing and safeguarding against degradation of global template standards. Fosters a strong partnership with FMC's Supply Chain, Operations and Finance organizations to ensure dependencies and integrations are identified in a timely manner and aligned with the global template, to ensure adherence to process and solution capabilities, while delivering capabilities that advance and support the strategic direction of the business. This role also partners with other stakeholders such as Internal Audit, Internal Controls and Data Privacy to ensure Procurement processes are in compliance with internal and external requirements.

Key Role Responsibilities

Lead the Procurement Center of Excellent to set process, solution and data governance standards, policies and strategies within the Procurement organization and across the integration points with other Functions
- Set the strategy for the development and reporting of KPIs to ensure adherence to defined standards, practices and targets
- Govern the deployment of additional Procurement capabilities to ensure integrity of the global template while driving continuous improvement initiatives
- Participate in the Governance Council on the review and approval of enhancements and projects that impact the Procurement processes, solutions, data and 3rd party solutions included in or integrated with the overall S/4 HANA platform
- Collaborate with the EGCI Leadership Team on the execution of new projects by supporting resource requirements and readiness efforts
- Partner with the Finance organization on the development and delivery of cashflow and working capital improvement opportunities
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and trends identifying opportunistic advantages for FMC
- Oversight of the Procurement COE day to day activities and management of the COE team
- Accountable for the overall strategy and management of Procurement's training and talent development programs by partnering with the HR Global Talent Management team

Required Education

-
BS or BA required, advanced degrees is a plus

Qualifications

- Functional Experience:
- 10 years of experience in Procurement or Center of Excellence organizations

- Functional / Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of Procurement processes and their integration points to Supply Chain, Operations and Finance to lead a center led global team
- Aptitude for technology
- S/4 HANA experience is a plus
- Financial acumen is a plus

- Soft Skills:
