Job Description:


We are now looking for a Senior System Software Manager, AI Infrastructure.

NVIDIA is hiring leaders to scale up and build the next generation of its machine learning workflow and data management systems for the development of autonomous vehicles. You will need to have strong technical skills, a deep understanding of cloud technologies, orchestration & automation systems, data centers and cloud architecture, as well as excellent communication and planning skills. You will need to demonstrate management and leadership skills. Together, we will build the software 2.0 cloud platform for one of the most exciting problems of our time: autonomous vehicles. Then we will apply it to other applications such as medical imaging, data science, genomics and more.

What you'll be doing:


  • Build, lead and manage a team of full-stack, backend, cloud, big data engineers focused on developing complete solutions to manage 10PB+ datasets for self-driving cars.


  • Drive architects, designers, engineers to build and operate key pieces of a complete infrastructure to manage large-scale datasets, from ingestion to user consumption, enabling users to carry out data querying+mining jobs, labeling jobs, etc.


  • Collaborate with multiple teams at NVIDIA as well as external customers and the open source community to identify new features of libraries and lead the developers in definition, implementation as well as productization of those features.


  • Apply software development processes, adapting to an agile environment and overlook the activities of your team that range from defining the public APIs, performance tuning and analysis, implementing new algorithms, and other general software engineering work.


  • Develop roadmaps, perform scoping and software development schedules.


What we need to see:


  • BS, MS, or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related field.


  • 6 or more years of experience in leading/managing a software development team in agile environment as well as performance sensitive and/or real-time software and customer facing software products.


  • 10+ or more years of relevant experience in software design, including debugging, performance analysis, and testing designs.


  • Highly proficient in big data, cloud, web service technologies (e.g. Hadoop, Spark, Kubernetes, etc.).


  • Experience developing large-scale data management systems (PB+) and serving dozens of users/data scientists.


  • Highly motivated with strong communication skills, you have the ability to work successfully with multi-functional teams and coordinate effectively across organizational boundaries and geographies. A history of mentoring engineers is a plus.
