FT Resident Companion (Kendal) at Kendal-Crosslands Communities in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania

Job Description:

Kendal~Crosslands Communities, a Life Plan Community located in Kennett Square, PA has a FT opportunity for Resident Companion at our Kendal at Longwood location. The hours for this position is below:

-Actual work hours vary according to Resident needs.  The schedule will include weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as determined by Resident request/scheduling.

Essential Function:  Provides Resident with quality companionship and non-medical services by providing stimulation through conversation, encouragement, engagement, and assistance with errands and light household tasks, domestic pet care.

Qualifications & Experience:  Experience working with the elderly is preferred.  At least one year experience in a home care or long term care setting.  Possess a high school diploma or GED.  Ability to adapt to various living environments and to communicate with Residents in a friendly and congenial manner.  Must possess current, valid PA driver’s license in good standing and must be insurable by Kendal~Crosslands Communities insurance.  Must have access to reliable personal vehicle to travel from home to home.
