Demand Planning Operations Planner - Vendor Collaboration Team at Best Buy in Richfield, Minnesota

Job Description:

The Demand Planning Operations Planner will be fully integrated into the end-to-end supply chain between vendors and Best Buy. The goal of this position is to tie together the various stages of product planning and supply chain and translate that into actionable recommendations for Demand Planning. This role will have the ability to influence change within Demand Planning and Supply Chain. As the DPO Planner finds opportunities, they will work to gain alignment with leadership on a solution and drive the implementation of that solution.

Key Responsibilities of This Role Include:

Team Coaching/Leadership

• Ensure Merchants and Demand Planning understand shipping performance data and how to use it


• Advise Demand Planning on best practices for Purchase Order creation (lead times, order multiples, etc.)


• Work with internal teams and vendors to understand and teach out best practices related to the data collaboration process (CPFR)


• Work with Demand Planning leadership on overall Supply Chain strategy

• Identify gaps in vendor specific end-to-end supply chain


• Ensure vendor supply chain and Best Buy supply chain are aligned


• Ensure consistency in utilization and execution across Ship it Right and CPFR


• Work directly with vendors and internal teams to address potential gaps in the end-to-end supply chain

• Become fully integrated with Merchants, Demand Planning & Forecasting


• Build strong relationships with other internal teams (Transportation, Warehousing, etc.)


• Be a contact for multiple major vendors for any Supply Chain related question

• 2+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Transportation, Business Management, Inventory Management or related field

• Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration with demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally


• Aptitude for motivating and influencing others to consistently achieve optimal outcomes


• Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel


• Ability to travel up to 10%
