Job Description
Position Summary
The primary role of the Supervisor, Inventory Planning is the creation of an optimized supply plan, each month for the medium- to long-term horizon. The supply plan must ensure continuous and efficient supply of finished goods (FG) products to our Distribution Centers and directly to distributors, using a minimum amount of inventory to maximize efficiency targets, minimize working capital costs and conserve cash by managing stock levels.
Responsibilities
Creation of the supply plan will involve working seamlessly with: Demand planning (and sales/marketing indirectly), Customer service, Deployment Planning, Supply Planning (finished goods replenishment, production planning, materials replenishment) and Manufacturing operations
Maintains responsibility of Brewery Shipment plan for successful completion of the program over time on both a weekly and monthly basis to ensure programs are complete or operating at peak efficiency, communicating all risks and opportunities to key business partners.
Facilitates exception-based planning in coordination with the MPS team to maintain ideal inventory levels, preventing stock-outs and obsolescence in our Distribution Network.
Support decision making by defining and analyzing multiple feasible scenarios of supply, identifying trade-off decisions to mitigate any risk to maintain adequate inventory levels at each of the Beer Division DCs within the mid to long-term horizon to support Service and Cost objectives
Ensure customer requirements are met through both monthly S&OP supply- demand balancing leadership, utilizing inputs (i.e. demand, on-hand inventory, and safety stock targets) to generate net distribution requirements that improves service and therefore revenue, while optimizing costs.
Acts as a subject matter expert for the Distribution Replenishment Planning tool (JDA). Responsible for modeling and maintaining planning and deployment parameters in JDA to enable alignment with department’s inventory strategies.
Analyzes and reports Key Performance Indicators such as Inventory DOH, turns, Out-Of-Stocks, components of inventory and other key inventory analytics.
Identifies opportunities to improve the efficiency & effectiveness of Inventory planning supporting cost, service, and quality initiatives and drives process improvement initiatives to successful completion.
Minimum Qualifications
B.A./B.S. majoring in Supply Chain, Operations or a business-related field or equivalent working experience.
4+ years' experience in an end-to-end supply chain role, including experience in S&OP process development and systems
Experience with ERP and APS software, business intelligence tools & business analytics software
Advanced experience with Microsoft Office applications, Excel and PowerPoint a must
Knowledge of beverage alcohol industry preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
APICS certification a plus.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, & problem-solving skills required
Self-directed and possess a sense of urgency
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with co-workers, related internal functions, external partners, and on project teams.
Process improvement & demonstrated results turn-around a plus. Customer management skills and experience a plus
Solid, straightforward, and professional oral and written communication skills, including presenting data and analysis clearly to management.
Ability to work with all levels and functions within the Company, and with external business partners.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Must be willing and able to travel as needed.
