Summary This position is located in the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, Consumer Education and External Affairs, Office of Stakeholder Management, Section for Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA/Section). IGA is responsible for managing CFPB's relationships with domestic and international intergovernmental stakeholders.
Responsibilities As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will:
Serve as the lead and primary point of contact for state financial regulators, their staff, and the national associations that represent them.
Prepare and/or deliver briefings for CFPB team members and intergovernmental stakeholders about CFPB statutory authorities, policies, consumer education resources and/or projects related to complex and emerging state and federal consumer protection issues.
Identify key state and local financial regulators and other entities that may be influential in building impactful relationships needed to further the CFPB's cross-divisional work with non-federal financial regulators. Recommends potential areas for collaboration and maintains ongoing dialogue to maximize value.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with other CFPB divisions and offices, federal agency staff, and other external stakeholders.
