Senior Programmer Analyst - Remote at Edward D. Jones in St. Louis, Missouri

Statements team is responsible for many of the Firm's most critical client reporting documents; particularly, the client statement.  The client statement continues to be the ultimate moment of truth with our clients.  We're seeking an exceptionally talented person to innovate and collaborate with our team to develop the next generation of statement processing.  

•    Develop next generation solutions to replace legacy batch systems

•    Develop Reactive and MVC web applications

•    Develop enterprise REST services 

•    Work with product owner and solutions architect to develop detailed designs 

•    Responsibilities include story grooming, designing, coding, and completing the development lifecycle through implementation

•    Provide system support, including on-call rotation, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues 

•    Provide guidance, training and mentorship to other associates, including performing code reviews, suggesting best practices

• Bachelor's degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related field or related work experience 


• Five years of experience in Java software development and support

• Ability to explain technical issues and their implications for projects and business decisions, facilitate discussion and collaborative resolution of problems 

• Two years of experience developing web applications utilizing Spring Framework


• REST service development experience


• Experience with Relational and Document data stores


• Experience with Kafka a plus


• Knowledge of Product and Agile methodologies a plus
