Babcock and Wilcox Construction Co., LLC is seeking a Lead Timekeeper for a jobsite in Monaca, PA. This position will report to a manager from Great Arrow Builders LLC (GAB). GAB is a consolidated joint association formed to support direct hire construction work for the Pennsylvania Chemicals Project (Petrochemical Facility).
Role Overview:
The Lead Timekeeper will perform all activities necessary to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll for a union workforce of 6000 craft employees. Position will work closely with Project Payroll and our 3 rd Party Payroll provider. This position reports to the Chief Timekeeper for Great Arrow Builders LLC (GAB). GAB is a consolidated joint association formed to support direct hire construction work for the Pennsylvania Chemicals Project.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and direct Timekeeping team daily activities in collaboration with the Chief Timekeeper
Provide coverage when Chief Timekeeper is not present
Operation of GAB Timekeeping front desk
Paycheck Inquiries
Submission of payroll paperwork
Verification of daily craft attendance using an electric timekeeping system (e-Track)
Review, balancing and exporting of daily time records for craft employees
Badge printing and time clock maintenance/troubleshooting
Sorting, validation, and distribution of weekly craft payroll checks\direct deposit slips
Creation and distribution of daily reports for attendance, force report, scans, timesheet completion, etc.
Maintenance and processing of requests for time off for craft employees
Scanning and maintenance of electronic craft employee files for records retention
Maintain a good working relationship with Craft Supervision, Labor Relations, and GAB Finance and other departments as required to support craft payroll
Gate watch (badging) for craft at the project site and remote parking areas
Ad-hoc duties as assigned by the GAB Chief Timekeeper or GAB Finance Manager
Essential Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of 6 months eTrack application experience
Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime, some weekends, and potential night shifts to support site construction requirements
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong customer service background
Excellent communication and time management skills
Basic understanding of payroll processing functions
Basic knowledge of SAP payroll application
Additional Infomation:
This position is full time, contracted (~9-12 month assignment), hourly position that operates in the field on jobsite
Must be willing to park offsite and get transported into the jobsite
