This job represents business stakeholders to elicit, understand, analyze, document, refine and communicate business needs, so that security, business and/or technical delivery teams can build effective solutions. This requires a detailed understanding of security needs, as well as business vision and strategy. The ideal candidate must be able to work collaboratively with multiple security and engineering teams. This position serves as the day to day decision maker and provides continual guidance for the execution team. This position is responsible for prioritizing the execution team's work so that it aligns with the sponsor's/security executive's strategies. The candidate will work with the security and IT delivery teams to identify and mitigate risks to include business operational risks; escalate issues; and develop and recommend appropriate solutions.

What you'll do:


  • Work closely with the stakeholders to build and maintain the product backlog.


  • Communicate the vision and goals at the beginning of every release and sprint.


  • Define, measure, and report metrics for effective product delivery.


  • Elaborate user stories for implementation, working with other product owners across IT to ensure alignment toward the Equifax vision.


  • Ensure that the product backlog is constantly prioritized to secure delivery of maximum value.


  • Own the roadmap for delivery of capabilities for your product.


  • Engage with key customer contacts as required to ensure that all relevant inputs to the product backlog have been collected and prioritized.


  • Participate in team planning meetings and exercising availability to provide advice, clarification and guidance during the execution of each sprint.


  • Inspect, accept, or reject completed work from the development sprint.


  • Work with program managers to support estimation and tracking of budgeting and forecasting for delivery teams.


  • Demonstrate completed product functionality to the internal stakeholders at the completion of each sprint.


  • Demonstrate an aptitude and drive to learn new technologies and processes.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Engineering – Work experience in Security related fields can supplement this.


  • Experience as a Scrum Product Owner, working with Agile Delivery Teams, utilizing Agile / Scrum / Kanban.


  • At least 7 years of IT experience, including 5 years as a Product Owner or Business Analyst with state-of-the-art hardware and software systems.


  • Strong technical foundation in network security technologies (e.g., Secure Web Gateways, SIEM, Security Analytics, etc.)


  • Experience building or designing data aggregation and streaming technologies, ideal through a SaaS or PaaS online platform


  • Understanding of common industry patterns for big data stewardship and governance


  • Experience delivering products as cloud-based services a plus


  • Experience working with security operations teams and/or having a strong understanding of organizations’ security practices and programs.


  • Understanding of Security Orchestration technologies and a desire to learn more.
