Job Description:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:


  • Associate degree or minimum of 2 years related experience

  • Proficient in the use of standard or specialized hardware and software programs

  • Maintain confidentiality of customer information

  • Applies experience and sound judgment to avert or solve problems, and knows when to ask for help when analyzing and solving problems

  • Data entry and basic computer skills a must, including ability to use standard software packages such as Excel and Word

  • Good verbal and written communication skills, including usage of phone, email and other means of correspondence

  • Interacts with others in a professional and tactful manner, successfully building business relationships with suppliers, customers and co-workers

  • Basic math aptitude and proficiency

  • Knowledge of accounting principles helpful

  • Must be self-motivated and a team player

  • Maintains acceptable attendance record

  • Expected to participate in appropriate in-Bank classes and other seminars/webinars as management requires

PRIMARY ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Effectively manage work flow to ensure the timely and accurate processing and closing for all loans originated

  • Proficient at processing Conventional (In House & Secondary Market), WHEDA, FHA, Construction and Rural Development Loans

  • Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete, accurate, verified and complies with company policy and regulations.

  • Effectively communicates with customers to obtain necessary documentation to complete file

  • Verify loan documents including income, credit, appraisal, flood and title insurance to prepare application package for submittal of a complete and accurate package to underwriting

  • Review file documentation to ensure all items needed are in file (per DU findings)

  • Order Appraisal, title work and any other documentation needed and meet crucial deadlines

  • Effectively utilizes Loan Origination Systems to process applications

  • Understands all requirements for TRID disclosures, redisclosures and waiting periods.

  • Understands Escrow and Mortgage Insurance Requirements

  • Good organizational skills and analyzes documents and calculations with accuracy

  • Prepares closing packages, closing instructions and transmits to title companies and/or Originators

  • Knowledge of FNB loan products and requirements for each loan package

  • Knowledge and understanding of all applicable loan processing programs, vendor websites and all HMDA regulations and requirements.

  • Maintains Construction files for draws, inspections and disbursements

  • Disbursement of funds (Customer account deposits, mail checks, payoff loans)

  • Willingly participates in all assigned duties and responsibilities

  • Knows where the CRA notice, statement and public disclosure file is located in the Branch and who the CRA officer is

  • Understands and complies with Bank mission, organizational structure, employee handbook, bank security, policies and procedures, standards of conduct and incentive program
