We are looking for a unified communications and collaboration engineer to join our MIS team and provide support to our corporate infrastructure. Responsibilities include design, consulting, implementation, and support of the enterprise communications environments supporting the company and its customers.
Responsibilities:
Provide support for video conference bridges, video gateways, video telecommunication suites, and desktop video devices
Recommend and implement service improvements and upgrades to enhance performance and assist in optimizing the voice and video capabilities of the company
Design, install, configure and support all elements of the organization’s voice, video, and collaboration systems
Troubleshoot and provide timely resolution of issues related to collaboration systems and associated network equipment
Monitor network to ensure availability and performance
Daily support and maintenance of LAN / WAN, Voice, and Video infrastructure
Provide technical support and training to end-users
Provide technical guidance and support to junior-level staff + documentation
Create and maintain drawings and documentation for the system architecture as well as end-user reference and training
Maintain your knowledge and expertise by learning new and evolving technologies and by achieving appropriate industry and professional certifications
Participate in special projects as required
Requirements:
7+ Years of relevant experience and bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience)
CCNP-Collaboration or equivalent knowledge is preferred (CCIE-Collaboration highly desired)
Specific knowledge of Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, IM & Presence, Cisco Jabber, and Expressway products
Experience maintaining and integrating cloud and on-premise conferencing solutions such as Pexip and WebEx.
Hands-on experience architecting, designing, and implementing advanced Cisco Unified Communication and Collaboration solutions
Expertise in supporting a variety of end-user collaboration devices to include conference room codecs (Cisco room kit series, SX series, WebEx Board), desktop video devices (Cisco DX/EX series, WebEx DeskPro)
Experience installing and supporting conference room audio-video solutions such as video extenders, camera extenders, and amplifiers
Hands-on experience with the installation and support of a broad range of technologies from Cisco and competitors to include switches, routers, firewalls, and call gateways
Adaptability to learn and support new technologies
Excellent network troubleshooting skills
Able to communicate effectively with team members of all levels to include executives, fellow engineers, and salespersons
Self-starter and skilled with managing time effectively while working on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of ITIL processes
