Job Duties:
Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine production processes, staff requirements, production standards, profitability estimates, and cost estimations for capital expense requests.
Coordinate production objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize productivity and quality, and minimize cost.
Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding procedures, product specifications, production capabilities, and project status.
Design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency.
Communicate with management to develop production and design standards.
Estimate production cost and effect of process changes for management review, action, and control.
Formulate and assist in the development of process work instructions.
Gather and record information to ensure accuracy of engineering drawings and documentation of the production process.
Study operations sequence, material flow, functional statements, and project information to determine worker functions and responsibilities.
Evaluate accuracy and applicability of production and test equipment to maximize productivity.
Analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality objectives of finished product.
Develop production methods and labor utilization standards to promote efficient staff and facility utilization.
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel, material, and resources.
Plan and establish sequence of operations to test and process products to promote efficient utilization of resources.
Work closely with other functional groups within the company as a subject matter expert.
Provide Information System process evaluation and development support.
