Job Description:
As a Sr. Network Engineer in TPG's IT Team you will be responsible for building complex network design and architectures and helping the vision of TPG products, people, and technology come to life through future proof network and IT systems. Your broad responsibilities include: Integrating and managing enterprise tools, ensuring system security in compliance with customer policies and security protocols, and providing Tier 1, Tier II, and Tier III Service Desk support for network access issues.
Senior Network Engineer provide valuable contributions to the product, operations, and research teams by guiding them and resolving IT based issues. You will aid the Chief Technology Officer and Director, Platform Engineering on the vision of the software platforms, IT infrastructure, and keep the technical details of IT in line to the vision of TPG.
Team Contribution
Install, configure and maintain LAN and WAN system hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.)
Install, configure and maintain wireless network hardware
Design and maintain and document network solutions
Strong knowledge of network protocols
Secure networks by developing network access controls and policies that align with security compliance
Ensure system security in compliance with Army and customer policies
Understand network security devices and their output
Ensure reliable backup and recovery from hardware outages
Integrate and manage enterprise tools
Provides network performance statics, reports and recommendations for network enhancements
Apply firmware and software patches as required to hardware
Researches, evaluates and stays current on emerging technologies and tools
Perform other hardware and software tasks as assigned
Provide Tier II and Tier III Service Desk support for network access issues
Maintain all support documentation
Provide help and support for DevOps engineers on software platform related tasks
Provides hands-on system administration support, system maintenance and operations support
Working with 3 rd party IT partners in order to coordinate multiple efforts

Help the Director, Platform Engineering manage and maintain design, testing, deployment, analysis of the product and software architectures
Help the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) manage and implement security compliance throughout the organization
Help mentor other technical team members

Qualifications
Strong knowledge network architecture and design
Strong knowledge of setting up IT network infrastructure
Working experience with setting up secure coding environments and corporate office infrastructures
Candidate must be a self-starter, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, able to develop technical guidance documents and multitasking between multiple ongoing projects to ensure customer requirements and timelines are met
Experience working with software teams
Experience working with software platforms and infrastructure
Experience managing a large-scale office IT infrastructure
Additional experience supporting large-scale networks in an enterprise environment
Additional Qualifications Preferred
Experience with Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, Gitlab, and/or GitHub
