Epic Business Systems, Professional Billing Team

 

At the direction of the Manager, work collaboratively with all departments, and function independently in defining, troubleshooting, and solving software and system analysis assignments using established system analysis techniques. Demonstrate advanced ability, integrity, and innovation in applying systems analysis techniques, knowledge, and experience to the needs of the organization. Position will be responsible for build and maintenance in the Epic Professional Billing (PB) application and providing technical support for the billing and financial operational groups and other end-users. Will also develop build and support proficiencies to provide backup support for the Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and their constituent users as well as assisting with the implementation of other information system initiatives within all billing operations. Works with Manager to develop work plans, and assists in recruitment, technical development and supervision of non-senior team members. Ideal candidate would have Epic Professional Billing/Single Billing Office (PB/SBO) certification (primary); PB Claims certification would be a plus.

Successful analysts are able to hold discussions of the concepts involved in system design (or issue investigation) while they are not actively working with or looking at the system or documentation, and make the technology understandable to others (e.g. analysts in other IS positions, end users or organizational leadership).

Ideal candidate with strong leadership, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills desired. Must be available for evening, weekend or on call hours if needed by department.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or
  related subject matter with 5 years of relevant work experience or the
  equivalent required.


• Organizational and leadership skills are
  essential.


• Project management skills, programming
  skills, and extensive knowledge of microcomputers desired.
