What we are looking for:

Ingram Micro is looking for a Federal Contracts Manager to join our Public Sector team. This role can be based in Buffalo, NY or the DC Metro area.

As a Federal Contracts Manager, you will manage the assigned programs & contract requirements for our Public Sector sales organization. This will involve working on proposals to create bids, respond to proposals, contract reporting & compliance and partnering with our reseller partners/vendor partners involved in the contract. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large (into the billions) contracts, & related program management within Federal Sales.

• Responsible for planning and managing programs to meet product delivery, quality, customer service, cost and revenue goals.


• Acting as project team leader, coordinates team efforts in assigned accounts/territories


• Ensures revenue growth, account penetration and customer satisfaction


• Reviews requirements, identifies tasks, assigns and coordinates resources and creates/tracks project schedules


• May participate in the development of strategies pertaining to Federal Sales Programs

• Four Year college degree desirable or equivalent work experience


• Minimum 8 yrs of experience working in Technology Distribution/Reseller Partners/Tech Manufacturers with at least 3 years of experience working with Federal Programs/Contracts


• Experience with GWAC/SEWP/First Source Contracts required


• Knowledge of technology products and distribution channels


• Knowledge of Ingram's business practices, processes and systems is a plus


• Knowledge of general computer applications required. Proficiency in Excel Required


• Strong negotiation skills - must be an influencer


• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills


• Strong presentation skills


• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and understand/communicate complex financial data.


• Ability to implement recommendations and see projects through to completion
