Alvarez and Marsal Global Transaction Tax (GTT) professionals provide corporate and private equity buyers with a broad continuum of transactional tax advisory services to support mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, investment and financing structures, disposition alternatives and post-transaction activities.Assisting clients before, during and after the transaction, our GTT practice works with clients across corporate functions to analyze and evaluate the tax profile and to implement planning designed to help meet each organization's global goals, strategies and business objectives.

We are currently seeking accounting students with an emphasis in Tax and 2L/Tax LLM students preferably with a background in accounting for an Internship in our GTT practice.We are seeking students interested in federal and state tax, international tax, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate consulting.Previous or ongoing Tax coursework and JD/LLM MsT track are required. A&M's tax interns will gain in-depth, first-hand experience in a wide range of industries while becoming familiar with the tax consulting processes necessary for the effective diagnosis, solution, development and implementation of clients' tax needs. Typical tasks include direct complex tax research and formulation of tax-planning strategies, as well as performing tax due diligence reviews.Successful candidates will have an opportunity to expand tax research skills via extensive tax research involving complex technical tax issues across a broad spectrum of federal and state tax law (e.g. Subchapter C, Subchapter K, consolidated returns, tax accounting methods, taxable and non-taxable transactions, executive compensation, etc.) and will have the opportunity to contribute directly to client deliverables.

Colorado Salary Statement: The salary range displayed is for candidates who currently reside in Colorado or plan to move to Colorado for this position. Total compensation is based on level, years of experience, education, certifications, cost of living, and several other factors. The total compensation range is a good faith estimate with non-guaranteed discretionary elements.

Colorado Total Compensation Range: Low: $25.00/hr - High: $40.00/hr
