Job Description:

The Shipping Lead assists in supervising the shipping operations of the Appliance Outlet and Repair Centers when the Assistant Store Manager, Operations is not present. The Shipping Lead validates accuracy of shipping documents and works with the shipping team to ensure all products have been properly cleaned and deluxed, and are ready for sale. The Shipping Lead also monitors processes to reduce inventory shrinkage. The Shipping Lead is a role model within the unit for abiding by and holding others accountable for The Code of Business Conduct and overall business practices. Leads by example with the highest level of integrity. The Shipping Lead must have day, evening and weekend availability to work.

Job Duties:

• Leads the shipping operations to ensure achievement of business goals in expenses, payroll, inventory shrinkage and Associate morale


• Assists the Shipping team in the movement of merchandise throughout the building and assists with loading trucks when necessary


• Takes ownership for full implementation of corporate programs and initiatives on expense management, productivity, and Associate morale, including adherence to operational processes and ensuring performance standards are met


• Supervises the selection and distribution of product to stores aligned to unit


• Develops partnership with Sears Logistics Services' (SLS) Distribution Centers and Product Repair Service units


• Assists the Assistant Store Manager of Operations in shipping processes training; assist in action plans to improve performance


• Ensure that the unit adheres to safety policies and procedures


• Ensures that inventory is properly secured prior to shipment and is loaded onto a truck using the appropriate processes for reducing damage


• Participates in shipping of merchandise throughout the unit


• Maintains facilities and housekeeping


• Understands and communicates to Management activities/trends in unit and unique local issues


• Supervises replenishment of sales floor in  host unit


• Assists with the Outlet Repair & Distribution Center (ORDC) Counts and the Ideal Floor Plan


• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs., and use hand wheeled carts to move Appliances


• Computer literacy


• Strong drive for results


• Action oriented, with strong execution skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
