Louis.We are seeking a Pediatrician who has the proven ability to engage with their medical staff and hospital leadership and who share our dedication to exceptional care and outcomes. Our ideal candidate would possess the following;




  • Responsible for master Pediatrician schedule


  • Schedule for 6 Glennon Care Community sites


  • Provide coverage in the Nurseries and Emergency Departments in metro community hospitals


  • Assists in the development of annual goal


  • Assists in the evaluation of Pediatricians at all Glennon Care sites when applicable


  • Attends at least 75% of Site Supervisor meetings on a monthly basis


  • Attend at least 75% of bi-monthly Pediatric Leadership Team meetings


  • Coordinates Lunch and Learns and group CME offerings


  • Assists with Quality Improvement Activities


  • Coordinates scheduled time off with Program Medical Director and Site Supervisors to assure full coverage of duties during scheduled time off


  • Reports into SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital leadership and the Program Medical Director


  • In rendering Administrative Services hereunder, PHYSICIAN agrees to comply with all SSMHC - St. Louis policies, rules and regulations. The incumbent will also abide by the SSM Health Mission and Values


  • Other duties and responsibilities as discussed, negotiated, and mutually agreed upon with the Program Medical Director





Qualifications



  • M.D. or D.O.


  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics


  • Hold and maintain an unrestricted medical license in the State of Missouri


  • Meet the requirements (and become a member) of the Hospital medical staff


  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of the EPIC EMR is a plus

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities and Requirements:



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Schedule for 6 Glennon Care Community sites.

  • Provide coverage in the Nurseries and Emergency Departments in metro community hospitals.

  • Responsible for obtaining call coverage by other medical staff members for holidays, vacations and other time off.

  • Responsible for the standard of practice for patient population.

  • Acts as an advisor and consultant in the establishment of operational policies of the practice to include: (1) Purchasing and capital allocations; (2) Managed care plan participation; (3) Budget and practice expenses; (4) Medicare/Medicaid participation; (5) Billing and collection of professional fees; (6) Personnel management and related policies; (7) Assists with Risk management and quality assurance; and (8) Coding compliance.

  • Participates in community service activities, including speaking engagements, writing and special clinical programs as reasonably requested.

  • Responsible for all risk management, coding compliance and quality assurance activities and functions in and related to the practice.

  • Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS


  • Constant use of speech to share information through oral communication.

  • Constant standing and walking.

  • Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

  • Frequent sitting, reaching and keyboard use/data entry.

  • Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.

  • Frequent use of smell to detect/recognize odors.

  • Frequent use of hearing to receive oral communication, distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

  • Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.

  • Occasional lifting/moving of patients.

  • Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, gripping and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.

  • Occasional driving.

Rare crawling and running.
