Job Description:

Key Responsibilities



  • Develop, negotiate, implement and manage major transportation programs such as parcel, less than truckload, full truckload, ocean container, and import/export freight forwarders on a global basis.

  • Manage and oversee third party warehouse providers to make sure that they are supporting all business needs and delivering upon business requirements.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of distribution of finished good products after production to deliver to customers.

  • Analyze and strategically plan alternative methods for material movement. Assess current warehousing and transportation structures and examine existing procurement solutions to maximize overall cost efficiencies while maintaining service levels.

  • Develop and implement key performance indicators and metrics for global organization.

  • Drive improvements in key performance indicators; deliver cost productivity while increasing carrier service levels and overall performance.

  • Collaborate on global initiatives and strategies by providing technical expertise.

  • Drive transportation strategies to support future business needs.

  • Continuous review of services to improve and maximize shipping lead-time for global shipping lanes.

  • Coordinate with third party logistics service providers and warehouses to meet strategic & cost control requirements, including but not limited to evaluation, negotiation & contract finalization.

  • Oversee all aspects of compliance requirements related to the import/export of commodities, conducted in accordance with applicable statutory requirements as set forth by the Department of Homeland Security and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). The position will provide regulatory guidance on other trade related compliance matters such as, but not limited to, HTS classifications, licensing determinations and applications, country of origin determinations, NAFTA and other free trade agreements, customs entries, valuations, corporate record retention as required to meet business or statutory requirements, and other general import/export activities with strong understanding of Tariffs and duty implications.




Key Requirements:



  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Supply Chain/Logistics.

  • 10+ years experience in a corporate logistics function with global reach and increasing levels of responsibility including people leading positions.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with SAP ERP systems.

  • Experience with third and fourth party logistics providers.

  • Detailed oriented, organized and the ability to multi-task.

  • Ability to work independently without daily oversight.

  • Working knowledge of domestic and international carrier services, rules and regulations.

  • Strong interpersonal skills; enjoys working in a collaborative team environment and has the ability to train and lead others

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Logical thinker who can identify, articulate, and resolve data related issues.
