Are you our next SSC Accounts Payable Supervisor?



The North American Shared Services (NASS) Accounts Payable Supervisor will lead an assigned team within the NASS team (which can include invoice processing, invoice reconciliation and resolution, payments and the T&E and corporate card administration) with a focus on meeting team, organization and service level agreement (SLA) goals and commitments. This person will ensure that assigned functional tasks are completed in alignment with Sarbanes-Oxley controls, provide and ensure high quality customer service, and be responsible for issuing and analyzing metrics and reports and providing recommendations for process improvements and strategic initiatives in order to drive the organization forward.



What will you do?




AP Team Leadership:



  • Provide planning and direction for the assigned NASS AP team.


  • Ensure NASS Accounts Payable KPIs and SLAs are consistently being met.


  • Partner with the NASS Continuous Improvement team to drive process improvements and system enhancements.


  • Provide thorough, accurate and timely responses to internal and external stakeholders.


  • Collaborate with internal business partners, including Corporate Treasury and Procurement.


  • Collaborate with external vendors/partners that may include Concur, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Citibank, Tradeshift and others.


  • Lead and/or perform close and other activities with a focus on supporting and meeting business needs.


  • Lead and provide support the team in preparing and filing reports (i.e. government reporting including unclaimed property, 1099 and other required reporting)


  • Provide support for internal and external audits.



People Leadership



  • Supervise assigned NASS AP team members.


  • Lead, develop and coach employees in order to retain and expand organizational talent, building a high performing team through focused attention and effort.


  • Provide timely recognition and/or constructive feedback on a regular basis to ensure employees have a clear understanding of expectations regarding and level of performance.


  • Manage performance issues when necessary.


  • Other project and miscellaneous duties as assigned.





What do you need for this role?



  • High School/GED required. Bachelors Degree preferred, major in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.


  • 3+ years of accounts payable experience


  • For those candidates without a bachelor's degree, 5+ years of AP and/or other related experience is required.


  • 1+ years of leadership experience and/or professional leadership development with proven leadership skills


  • Proven track record of personal accountability for and/or a history of leading and holding a team accountable for meeting defined service level agreement targets and goals


  • Leadership experience within Accounts Payable environment is strongly preferred


  • Preferred knowledge and skills include: T&E, Corporate Card Admin, Unclaimed Property


  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)


  • Proficiency with computerized accounting systems


  • Experience with any or multiple of the following: SAP, Concur, Kofax, Maximo, Ariba, Tradeshift, ServiceNow preferred


  • Strong verbal, written and listening communication skills
