Summary:
The Performance Test Lead is tasked with assisting the team lead and ensuring the success of the performance and scalability test team. This position will work closely with the other testing teams, DevOps teams, and application development leads to ensure performance testing benchmarks and requirements are achieved on time with consistency and with quality results. They will also be responsible to ensures change is optimized for performance and free from performance/scalability defects to satisfy the customer experience. You will diagnose and troubleshoot performance related issues and communicate the finding to leadership. They will strategize performance and scalability testing solutions. This position will analyze the productions trend and will design scenarios to mimic productions sunny day and rainy day scenarios. You will conduct brown bag sessions to share knowledge among the team.
Essential Duties:
- Strategy creation for performance test environment, test data, performance monitoring required for the project
- Managing CICD Pipeline test execution and resolving the issues within the pipeline code
- Building and Enhancing Automated reports (email or grafana) which are built using Golang and MySQL DB
REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledgeable of application architecture in order to finalize performance test scope
- Communicate project status, progress on project issue resolution and ensure effective process improvement feedback
- Devise the non-functional requirements and interact with stakeholders for the confirmation
- Performance and Scalability testing plans, approaches, timelines & resourcing plan creation
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Extensive experience in performance testing and worked with various technologies (J2EE/Java, microservers etc.)
- Expert in implementing CICD Pipeline based executions using Jenkins/Jmeter setup
- Deep understanding of architecture in order to gather Non-functional requirements
- Test Scenario design to validate the system's ability to provide service to achieve SLAs
- Hands-on in-web based scripts (Jmeter)
- Troubleshooting performance issues to identify the root cause and resolve issues
- Hands on experience running scale test for Kafka topics and monitor them
- Hands on experience to monitor Linux servers using commands
- Experience in programming languages and process automation
- APM tools knowledge (Instana, NewRelic and Splunk)
