POSITION SUMMARY:
Employee is responsible for the day to day shipping operation within the facility. Employee is also responsible for daily operations of the Safe Quality Feed Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
Shipping Coordination
Coordinate daily with the Production supervisor on inventory levels and loading needs
Supervise railcar and truck loading.
Supervise railcar and truck shipping.
Maintain daily reporting of shipments and weekly forecast.
Maintain daily dispatch schedule for trucks loading the following day.
Maintain daily shipments from Transloading facility including monitoring and managing shipments and demurrage costs.
JWS key user
Managing railcar movement on the Union Pacific and BNSF Web based system.
Monitor, manage, and dispute any incorrect demurrage costs.
Maintain daily railcar car forecast.
Maintain bad order railcar list and arrange for repairs.
Maintain and manage railcar fleets for each rail customer
Complete daily audit trail reporting to ensure an accurate record of control numbers and shipped material.
Maintain retention files for Bill of Ladings (3 years). Files kept in an organized and chronological order.
Manage the certificates of compliance and ensure customers receive necessary analysis reports.
Maintain records for daily Work area inspections.
Interact with internal and external customers and transportation contractors.
Be involved in total quality process and continuous improvement of customer confidence by knowing the customer's demands for sizing, quality, and quantity in relationship to inventory.
Maintain availability 24/7/365 for internal and external customers
Order and manage loadout supplies in SRM. Order and receive goods.
Backup to Asst Maintenance Manager/Maintenance Planner
Other
Maintain personal HACCP certification as a SQF plant representative
Maintain proper documentation records to ensure plant is compliant with SQF standards
Conduct audits to ensure compliance with SQF standards
ATTRIBUTES:
Required Experience:
Minimum 2 years of customer service and shipping experience, utilizing SAP or similar ERP
Required Education:
HS/GED Diploma
