Build market demand for new products by supporting the field sales team and serving as the installation expert to contractors, builders, and distributors interested in trialing and installing Cornerstone's new products. Actively participate with the business development team at a variety of field marketing events to introduce, train, and build awareness of product features and benefits to target customers. Be the technical and installation expert in market.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Demonstrates best-practice siding installation experience with knowledge of the lap siding installation process across multiple competitive materials. Positively addresses and clearly communicates new installation recommendations and product features and benefits.

  • Develops and owns territory-specific modifications to standard installation instructions. Provides input to updates of standard installation instructions as needed.

  • Participates in all field marketing events managed by the Territory Sales Representative at partner distributors, local builder shows, local builder associations, real estate conferences, etc.

  • Develops, delivers, and owns territory-specific classroom training curriculum, materials, and courses to be delivered at contractor sites, distributor sites, and third-party locations as needed.

  • Supports contractors new to the product, by providing on-site support at first several installations post-classroom training to ensure proper installation and thorough understanding of installation techniques and practices.

  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills with a simple approach that can be conveyed to any individual needing assistance including installers, builders, builder superintendents, building inspection officials and homeowners.

  • Attends to any post-installation issues as they may arise and provides verbal and written technical assistance as needed.

  • Is the primary technical resource in the territory to answer all technical questions for customers, contractors, distributors, builders, as well as company personnel.

  • Shares new product volume targets with territory sales teams to ensure alignment of objectives leading to support and accelerate contractor, builder and distributor conversions.

  • Establishes relationship with product development and marketing communications teams to provide market insight leading to improved future product generations, entirely new products and product categories and go-to-market strategies and tactics.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma Minimum, Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:


  • 5+ years of experience installing vinyl siding

  • Passion for New Product Sales, Prospecting Skills, Sales Planning, Selling to Customer Needs, Territory Management, Market Knowledge, Presentation Skills, High Energy Level, Results Driven, Professionalism, Siding Installation and Technical Expert, Relationship Builder

  • Position requires ability to drive extensively within the territory to reach contractors, builders, and distributors at their place of business; overnight travel of 50+%.

  • Position requires ability to carry, handle, and lift siding product and POS marketing collateral as needed.

  • Position requires ability to hold and attend meetings at job construction sites with may include enduring hazardous situations, materials, high noise levels and extreme heat/cold. Safely negotiate active job sites & occasionally provide hands on assistance when necessary.

  • Position may require weekend work and workdays in excess of eight hours depending on customer/job site availability.
