Kleinfelder is seeking field biologists to support with public and private sector projects, throughout California. The individual will assist on an as-needed basis for field survey, monitoring, and technical reports. Specifically, seeking individuals located in and around the Redding, Bay Area, Fresno, and Los Angeles, California regions. The individual(s) will largely work remote and in the field, but will report to the nearest office as needed, and direct supervisor in Auburn, California.

Job Responsibilities:


  • Providing environmental regulatory compliance for our clients through surveys for protected species, compliance monitoring for work crews, and written logs and reports of compliance activities.


Position Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant experience

  • Prior experience in natural resource consulting or restoration is desirable


Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in biology or a related field


Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Comfortable working in physically challenging outdoor environments in all types of weather

  • Traveling on a regular basis to a project which may require overnight stays

  • Strong technical and academic background in an applied biological science

  • Effective problem-solving ability

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with MS Office

  • The ability to work both independently and with a team

  • Fluency in Spanish language a plus

  • Must has a satisfactory driving record and complete a background check
