The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

As a Senior Manufacturing Supervisor for the Filtrete™ Value Stream, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Supervising a team of shift manufacturing supervisors and their production teams


• Championing the deployment and engagement of Lean Manufacturing by the production workforce


• Working closely with the Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams to ensure that daily and weekly operational objectives are met


• Developing an organization focused on continuous improvement; uses Lean Six Sigma tools to teach others

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Associate’s Degree/Technical Diploma (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and four (4) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment
  OR
  Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and two (2) years of manufacturing experience in a private, public, government or military environment


• Three (3) years of direct supervision of an hourly production organization in a private, public, government or military environment

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree or higher in a supply chain or technical discipline


• Experience in supervising a team of shift manufacturing supervisors and their production teams


• Experience developing talent and skills of employees


• Experience working in a cross-functional, collaborative environment


• LSS Green Belt Training and Certification

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
