Job Summary

Coordinate the staging and shipping of glass orders to customers. This position requires that material, including glass and metal be organized, staged, and then loaded onto company delivery and common carrier vehicles. 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•    Ability to use, understand and or learn computerized tracking system, delivery receipts, and production labels to effectively plan truck routes

•    Locate product in the facility 

•    Load trucks following safety policies and procedures to maintain even load weight distribution, and ensure safety delivery to the customer

•    Performing proper housekeeping within the department throughout the shift

•    Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job

•    Perform different functions on a rotating basis

•    Read and interpret labels for proper sorting

•    Perform any other job assigned and be able to work in all departments as needed

•    Use proper PPE

 

Requirements

•    Must at least be 18 years old

•    Able to work in a team environment

•    Detail oriented a must

•    Manual lifting requirements 75 lbs on a regular basis

•    At least one year of previous work experience in a fast-paced warehouse, manufacturing, or production facility, preferred

 

Physical Requirements

•    Ability to lift, bend, twist, walk, and reach frequently

•    Able to grip and carry thin material, such as glass

•    Able to walk/stand on a concrete floor for regular work shift (approx. 8-12 hrs a day, 5-6 days/week)

•    Must have the ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. frequently

•    Ability to work in varied temperatures consistent with same climate conditions of the region in a non-climate-controlled facility (Heat, Cold, humidity, etc.)
