Position Description
Einstein Medical Center Montgomery is a medical destination providing many new healthcare services and resources previously unavailable in the area including advanced medical and surgical care, diagnostic testing services, a neonatal intensive care unit, and 24 hour emergency care. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Provides nursing care and carries out appropriate segments of the prescribed medical regimen
- Triaging medical concerns for patients under the direction of the mid-level practitioner and/or physicians
- Triage phone calls and monitor Cerner messaging tasks
- Provide clinical support and oversight of clinical support staff related to patient care ensuring that all protocols and guidelines are being followed
- Triage patients, history review and reconciliation of medications
- Medication administration under the direction of the mid-level practitioner and/or physicians
If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
- Graduate of a State approved/accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor of Science of Nursing
- Demonstrated knowledge of pharmacology required
- Neurology experience preferred
- Pennsylvania RN License
- BLS/ACLS
- Maintenance of RN competencies/continuing Education
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to walk, sit, stand for long periods of time. Frequently lifts, pulls, pushes and moves various weights (patients and equipment)
- Must be able to see charts, read numbers from a distance, and read small print and have visual dexterity to work with computers
- Must be able to complete assessments using a stethoscope, hear on the phone and hear general conversation
