Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) Manager at Cognizant in Irving, Texas

Job Description:

• Mortgage experience with good analytical and good communication skills both at comprehension and writing 


• Should be proficient with mortgage documents like 1003, 1108, Title Appraisal, Income Documents, Asset Documents, Note Mortgage Foreclosure and Bankruptcy etc. and ability to review and gauge any red flags in the document and information provided in client system


• Job would require training mentoring new hires and interact with customer on calls emails with loan query level discussion 


• Person would be working as POC with onshore business team and also responsible for day to day delivery operations apart from meeting self-daily production target 


• Job would require more accountability and responsibility in ensuring that team meets process goals on both capacity and quality front

Qualifications:

Must haves

• A mortgage network and knowledge of mortgage industry


• At least five years of recent experience within mortgage origination


• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

Minimum KSAs

• Excellent customer service & people management skills


• Experience on US loan servicing regulations


• Certification on US Mortgage or Lending domain desirable (any institute)


• Develop and maintain superior customer connect


• Follow the governance mechanism established with the client


• Help develop technology advancements and process improvements


• Keep track of all customer feedback/ process issues. Drive actions towards delivery excellence


• Resource Planning, Recruitment and Work Allocation


• Ensure that all committed deliverables and services are rendered on schedule and at the defined quality levels


• Develop performance standards, metrics and goals and manage the achievement of those goals


• Prepare and send operational reports and information to client, management and stakeholders

Required

• Total 4+ years of experience with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience


• Minimum of 4 years experience in Mortgage Origination

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to analyze problem situations, take ownership and resolve


• Excellent communication skills -- both oral and written


• Management and/or project experience


• Good analytical skills


• Familiar with essential processes of Ops functional areas and able to work cross functionally


• Excellent MS office skills- MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint Presentations


• Bachelors degree
